White House Again Refuses To Answer If Biden Has More Classified Documents

During a Monday appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” a Biden administration official refused to answer whether there could be more classified documents illegally stored at any other locations connected to President Joe Biden.

White House Spokesman for Oversight and Investigations Ian Sams, who also serves as Special Assistant to Biden and Senior Advisor to the White House Counsel’s Office, was asked by MSNBC co-host Mika Brzezinski if there were more classified documents out there.

“Ian, are there any possibilities that there are documents at other locations owned or used by President Biden in the past?” she asked.

Instead of answering the question, Sams gave a canned response about being “really careful not to talk about potential future steps and developments in the investigation” — claiming that the reason he refuses to respond is that he’s not going to get ahead of the process.

“So, the President’s personal lawyers and DOJ are in communication and they’re making sure that they’re coordinated on the next steps of this investigation,” he said. “Look, we’re going to be really careful not to talk about potential future steps and developments in the investigation itself because we respect the independence of DOJ to conduct this thoroughly and fairly on their own accord. And so, I’m just not going to get ahead of that process and questions like that.”

Brzezinski remarked, “Okay, so there’s a possibility. I don’t know.”

The MSNBC host also pressed Sams about the details behind Biden’s mishandling of classified documents, asking “How could this happen?”

In response, Sams said, “I think it’s really important to understand, that’s exactly the type of thing a Justice Department investigation would be looking at.”

MSNBC co-host Joe Scarborough then interrupted Sams, asking: “Does the DOJ need to tell the president why the president has classified documents in his home? I don’t understand that.”

Sams continued avoiding the question, again saying that the DOJ was in charge of finding out why Biden mishandled classified documents.

Meanwhile, the Department of Justice (DOJ) is reportedly considering conducting additional searches of Biden-linked locations for more illegally stored classified documents, following their search of Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware home on Friday.

Several batches of classified documents have already been found in Biden’s old office at the Penn-Biden Center in Washington, D.C., as well has in multiple locations within his Delaware home. All of these documents were found during searches conducted by Biden’s personal attorneys. The DOJ also conducted their own search of Biden’s home, finding an additional six “items” containing classified documents.
