Republican Rep. Moves To Impeach Biden And Vice Harris

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has brought forward articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Ogles accuses them of various offenses, claiming that they have abused their positions and violated the public trust.

Ogles alleges that President Biden has “weaponized” the presidency to protect his family’s business and influence peddling schemes, shielding them from congressional oversight and public accountability.

One of the specific allegations against President Biden is his failure to comply with congressional requests for information and documentation, thereby violating his commitment to transparency.

The president is alleged to have refused to release a critical FD–1023 form until he was threatened with a congressional subpoena. The form reportedly details a bribery scheme involving the first family and Ukrainian company Burisma Holdings, on whose board the president’s son, Hunter Biden, sat.

Not holding back his criticism, the representative stated that President Biden has violated his “sworn oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

“The American people know they can’t depend on the so-called ‘Department of Justice’ to investigate the Biden family’s corruption, and so it’s up to the U.S. Congress to hold him accountable once and for all,” the article stated, referring to allegations of the president’s involvement in illegal business dealings and exploitation of resources paid for by taxpaying Americans.

The Tennessee lawmaker also criticizes Biden’s handling of the southern border crisis, stating that the president’s actions have been contrary to the public trust and have undermined the constitution, causing great prejudice to the cause of law and justice.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Ogle expressed the belief that it falls upon the U.S. Congress to hold Biden accountable for his actions, as he goes on to assert that Biden is a disgrace to the Oval Office and should be stripped of his position. That, he said, would hold him responsible for what he calls “high crimes against the United States.”

Ogles’ articles come amid growing calls to impeach Biden as Article II, Section 4 of the United States Constitution stated that “the President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors…”

The articles also touched on Vice President Harris as he referred to her as Biden’s accomplice. The articles of impeachment against Vice President Harris mostly focus on her handling of the southern border crisis.

He accuses Harris of extraordinary incompetence and indifference to the suffering of Americans affected by the ongoing crisis at the southern border.

Pointing to her refusal to “visit the southern border to ascertain the root causes of the ongoing crisis, aside from a single trip hundreds of miles away from the epicenter of the migrant crisis,” he stated that her failure to execute her duties and responsibilities properly has directly harmed the American people.

Ogles’ move follows the introduction of a similar impeachment article by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) last month in relation to his handling of the U.S.-Mexico border crisis.
