President Joe Biden’s recent executive order that opens the door to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants securing U.S. residency is coming under fire from former President Donald Trump.
President Biden signed an executive action on Tuesday that streamlines the path to legal residency for 500,000 or so illegal immigrants who have been in the U.S. for ten years and are married to a citizen. Also included in the order are about 50,000 noncitizen kids under 21 if a parent is married to a U.S. citizen.
CNN called it the biggest move toward amnesty for illegal immigrants since Obama’s 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
“This week, we found out that an illegal alien from El Salvador who Crooked Joe Biden let go into our country murdered a mother of 5 while she was jogging in Maryland, and we found out that an illegal alien from Ecuador tied up a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint and raped her in broad daylight,” Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement, referring to two recent cases of violent crime by immigrants.
Leavitt claimed that Biden’s plan would almost certainly generate an unprecedented crime wave, drain tens of millions of tax dollars, strain public services to the brink, and threaten to divert benefits American seniors have paid for under Social Security and Medicare to pay for benefits for non-citizens.
On Tuesday, New York City officials announced the arrest of Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, 25, an illegal alien from Ecuador who entered the U.S. in 2021 near Eagle Pass, Texas. Inga-Landi is accused of blindfolding and raping a 13-year-old girl in Queens, just blocks from Trump’s old stomping grounds.
The former president told Fox News: “I lived down the road.” “Unthinkable even a few years ago.” He goes on to claim that “These are Biden migrants.”
