Representative Ronny Jackson (R-TX) is calling on President Biden to immediately end his “Joe Biden National Syndicate of Crime” and send him a drug test after the president was seen blowing his nose Tuesday during a high-level climate change discussion with scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Jackson, who worked for former Presidents Trump and Obama, asked for a “legitimate drug test” in a three-page letter that he sent to Biden and his doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor.
“This drug test should be administered both immediately before and after the debate and should include, but not be limited to, performance enhancing drugs,” Jackson wrote.
His reasoning for administering the test are that “American citizens must have absolute confidence in their President’s ability to perform his or her duties as Head of State and Commander in Chief, and the debate performance absolutely should be indicative of an individual’s ability to perform these critical duties free of any performance enhancing drugs or mood-altering medications,” the letter said.
Jackson mentioned a recent Wall Street Journal report that interviewed over 40 people who painted a picture of an 81-year old leader losing his edge as the country he has long personified becomes more complex at home and abroad. Biden and his Democratic allies pushed back on the report, calling it a GOP hit piece.
Jackson also brought up special counsel Robert Hur’s questioning of Biden regarding how he dealt with classified information. Hut suggested a jury might see the president as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
But Jackson also used the State of the Union to accuse Biden of abusing performance-enhancing drugs, saying that the President has been seen “profusely sweating, yelling at the camera, not blinking, and frequently moving and gesturing with his hands at a rapid rate.”
Several recent polls have shown Biden’s age to be a top concern among voters. A March 2021 New York Times/Siena College poll found that 61% of voters who supported then-candidate Joe Biden in 2020 agreed with the statement “Joe Biden is just too old to be an effective president.”
In response to the Jackson remarks, White House spokesman Andrew Bates compared Jackson with a character from “The Simpsons” series who has often engaged in unethical medical practices.
