Amid expectations of attacks against Israel, President Joe Biden issued a warning to deter the Islamic Republic of Iran from launching an attack against Israel. Biden made the remarks at the National Action Network Convention in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on Friday in response to a question about reports that Iran has over 100 cruise missiles on ground to fire at Israel.
Asked how imminent the predicted attack is, Biden responded, “I don’t want to say. I don’t want to get into secure information, but my expectation is sooner than later.”
Asked for a message to Iran, he said, “Don’t.”

He then went on to emphasize that the United States is devoted to defending Israel.
“We are devoted to the defense of Israel. We will support Israel. We will defend — help defend Israel. And Iran will not succeed. Thank you very much,” he added.
U.S. officials have warned that an attack from Iran against Israel is imminent as retaliation for the termination of the top commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force in Lebanon and Syria by Israel last week.
Mohammed Reza Zahedi was killed alongside two generals in an Israeli strike in Syria on April 1 while he met with other Iranian commanders and leaders from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group. The incident was followed by a promise of “harsh response” by Iran.
While the U.S. intends to defend Israel against Iran, Iran has warned the U.S. to stay out of the fight, threatening to attack U.S. forces in the region if they help defend Israel.
The U.S. Military has ramped up its preparation and has been on high alert for the expected retaliatory attack in recent days.
According to a Pentagon official who spoke to CNN, the Department of Defense is moving more assets to the region in order to bolster regional deterrence efforts and increase force protection for US forces.”
