Jill Biden Irate Over Biden Conference From 2022

Amid the blowback from his disastrous press conference on Thursday, reports have it that first lady Jill Bill was not pleased with a press conference President Joe Biden held in 2022. Per Axios, Jill was so angry that she erupted over him and aides’ decision to let the conference go on.

During that conference in January, 2022, Biden was asked if he over promised what he could achieve in his first year of office during his campaign.

In response, he told the reporter, “Why are you such an optimist? Look, I didn’t over-promise, but I have probably outperformed what anyone thought would happen.”

During the press conference, which ran for almost two hours, Biden reportedly made a lot of factual errors, leading to huge backlash for him online.

Per Axios, a new yet-to-be-released book said this of Jill’s reaction: “She had watched the news conference, and the look on her face told everyone in the room — from the president on down — that they had some explaining to do. This dressing down … illustrated the degree to which she is her husband’s fiercest protector.”

“Why didn’t anyone stop that?” she asked angrily, challenging his aides’ whereabouts when they were meant to end the press conference and stop the president from speaking.

During the impromptu event on Thursday, Biden addressed Special Counsel Hur’s newly released report on Biden’s handling of classified material during his time as vice president. The 81-year-old railed over the report which questioned his mental fitness and stated that he would not be prosecuted partly due to memory issues.

Biden particularly took issue with the part of the report which said that investigators noticed during an interview that he could not remember when his son Beau died.

“How in the hell dare he raise that. Frankly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself it wasn’t any of their damn business…I don’t need anyone to remind me when he passed away,” Biden stated.

Aside from lashing out at Hur for saying he was suffering a cognitive decline, Biden snapped at reporters for asking questions about his age and cognitive health.

“Mr. President, for months when you were asked about your age, you would respond with the words, ‘watch me’…Many American people have been watching, and they have expressed concerns about your age,” a reporter said, while trying to ask him if he is the best Democratic candidate for the 2024 election.

Cutting the reporter off, he said, “That is your judgment! That is your judgment. That is not the judgment of the press,” later emphasizing that he is the “most qualified person in this country to be president of the United States and finish the job I started.”

In addition to his display of anger, he also suffered a couple of gaffes, including mixing up the presidents of Egypt and Mexico.
