JD Vance Says Biden Admin Wants Trump To Die In Jail

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) said on Monday that the Biden administration wants former President Donald Trump to die in jail. Vance made the assertions in a post to X on Monday shortly after a New York appeals court granted Trump a life line in his New York civil fraud ruling, reducing his bond to $175 million and giving him 10 days to make the payment.

In a post to X, Vance wrote, “The Biden administration wants Trump to die in jail and they want to bankrupt his family. It is the biggest assault on democracy we’ve ever seen. If you’re too cowardly to call it out, you’re not ready for his moment in American politics.”

Another Trump ally, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) also condemned New York Attorney General Letitia James’ readiness to seize Trump’s assets should he miss the Monday deadline to pay the $464 million fine Judge Arthur Engoron ordered him to pay or post 120% of the amount in bond while he appeals the verdict.

“The egregious attempted seizure of President Trump’s assets for a victimless “crime” will forever taint the legal system of New York and sets a dangerous new precedent for our nation. Weaponizing justice to forcibly seize the livelihood of political opposition is shocking, tyrannical, and profoundly un-American,” Donalds wrote.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham also had a theory about what the Biden administration is trying to do to Trump.

In reaction to the appeals court ruling, she said, “Try and hope as they might, the legal forces in New York, Georgia and D.C. are finding it harder and harder to accomplish their mission, which is to put Trump behind bars and or bankrupt him before the election. Now, today, the New York appellate court slashed the obscene amount Judge Engoron ordered Trump to post to appeal the case from $454 million to $175 million. Now, the left’s longtime fantasy was to see New York A.G. Letitia James personally slap padlocks on the front doors of Trump’s prized real estate. Now, there was a palpable disappointment. I could hear it on the other cable nets.”

“The Trump exception to due process and basic fairness. Now these people would attend candlelight vigils to protect the due process rights of illegals before deportation. But they’re outraged that the system gives Trump any rights at all,” she added.
