President Joe Biden’s campaign is trying to appeal to the supporters of former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. In an ad released on Friday, the campaign told the Republican base who do not want former President Donald Trump becoming president once more, that Trump does not want their votes.

“If you voted for Nikki Haley, Donald Trump doesn’t want your vote. Save America. Join us,” the ad said.
The ad shared clips of Trump commenting on Haley, such as him calling her “birdbrain,” adding that she “has made an unholy alliance with RINOs [and] never-Trumpers.”
The ad, which costs $1 million, will run over the course of three weeks across digital platforms in battleground states, the Washington Post reported.
Haley was Trump’s major and long-standing political rival in the GOP presidential race. The two hurled attacks on each other, with Trump blasting Haley as weak while she accused Trump of being responsible for the “chaos” in the Republican Party.
Earlier this month, she suspended her campaign, leaving Trump as the GOP presumptive nominee. She, however, did not endorse Trump as she quit, unlike other presidential candidates who left the race like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and biotech executive Vivek Ramaswamy.
Instead of an outright endorsement, the former U.N. ambassador said that Trump needs to “earn the votes of those in our party and beyond it who did not support him.”
“And I hope he does that. At its best, politics is about bringing people into your cause, not turning them away. And our conservative cause badly needs more people. This is now his time for choosing,” she said.
While the Biden campaign suggested that Trump does not want Haley’s supporters, the former president did stretch a hand to the voter base in a social media post after Haley’s decision to quit her campaign.
Saying that he would “like to invite all of the Haley supporters to join the greatest movement in the history of our Nation,” he ripped into Biden, adding, “BIDEN IS THE ENEMY, HE IS DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
