Joe Biden said that one of the classified documents found and taken from his home by the FBI was almost 50 years old.
The comment came during a recent interview with PBS’s Judy Woodruff, during which Biden seemed to absolve responsibility for the matter by claiming he voluntarily allowed the FBI to probe his home and offices.
“And to the best of my knowledge, the kinds of things they picked up were things that were from 1974 and stray papers,” stated Biden. “There may be something else, I don’t know.”

In the past, Biden asserted that anyone who simply possesses classified documents is “just totally irresponsible.” Upon being asked how that statement reflects on him now, Biden suddenly shifted gears, refusing to speak more about his scandal.
"You said just possessing classified documents is 'totally irresponsible'? So, what was totally irresponsible about the fact that you had some?"

Despite Biden’s claims, the Department of Justice has indicated that the White House is permitted to discuss the matter.
“DOJ has not and will not tell White House officials what they can and cannot say publicly about this case,” stated a DOJ source. “White House runs its own show. That’s the way it works.”
When speaking on how he has been handling U.S. relations with China, Biden insisted that he has not neglected his role as commander-in-chief.
“The idea that there was a dereliction of duty I think is, uh, it’s a bizarre notion,” stammered Biden. “China knows exactly what the deal is with us.”

He insisted that U.S.-China relations have not made a turn for the worse.

During the same interview, Biden insisted that the American people will not pay attention to any reports about alleged shady business dealings and corruption within his family. He additionally charged that Republicans are inventing much of the controversy.

As RedState noted, there are various bits of concerning info pertaining to alleged Biden family corruption that the Republicans could not lie about if they tried, such as pictures and emails revealing that then-Vice President Joe Biden arranged meetings with business associates of his son.
Whether Biden will face legal consequences, be it from his document scandal, the Hunter Biden laptop controversy, or anything else, remains to be seen.
