Former President Donald Trump had a New Year message for America on Monday. In a post on Truth Social, he predicted that the year 2024 will be a “historic” one.

“Happy New Year. It will be a historic one. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!” he wrote in the post.
Trump’s new year message comes after his party at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on New Year’s eve. During an address before guests at the party, the former president set the record straight as to why his wife, Melania Trump was not present in the family Christmas photo.
According to him, the former first lady has been with her mother who is very ill and in the hospital.
“Hopefully she’ll be recovering,” he said of his mother-in-law.
In the address, the GOP presidential candidate also spoke about the state of the country, saying it has “gone to hell.” However, he promised a better day for America, assuring his supporters that the situation will be turned around soon.
“My children are here. They’re all here and I just want to thank everybody. We’re going to have a great 2024,” he stated.
Trump’s New Year’s message was calmer than the fiery message he put out on Truth Social on Christmas Day, in which he called out people “looking to destroy” the nation.
In one of his Dec. 25 posts, he wrote, “Merry Christmas to all, including Crooked Joe Biden’s ONLY HOPE, Deranged Jack Smith.”
“Included also are World Leaders, both good and bad, but none of which are as evil and ‘sick’ as the THUGS we have inside our Country who, with their Open Borders, INFLATION, Afghanistan Surrender, Green New Scam, High Taxes, No Energy Independence, Woke Military, Russia/Ukraine, Israel/Iran, All Electric Car Lunacy, and so much more, are looking to destroy our once great USA. MAY THEY ROT IN HELL. AGAIN, MERRY CHRISTMAS!” he added.
