RFK Jr. Announces Leftist Attorney As Running Mate

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced on Tuesday that he has chosen attorney and entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan to be his vice presidential running mate in his presidential run as an Independent.

RFK made his announcement at a rally in California, saying, “I managed to find a technologist at the forefront of AI. She has spent the last decade relying on neural networks, artificial intelligence, and cutting edge science to identify abuses in our government.”

Touting Shanahan’s capability regarding the job, he added, “She understands that the health of every American is a national security issue and a national security risk. Her work has proven time and again that health drives our economy and it is the foundation of our mental health, our national happiness, our ability to lead the world and innovation and prosperity and at peace. I also wanted someone with an athlete, who could help me inspire Americans to heal, to get them back in shape.”

According to RFK, Shanahan possesses all the qualities he sought in a running mate, including “a spiritual dimension and compassion and idealism.”

“The daughter of immigrants, who overcame every daunting obstacle and went on to achieve the highest levels of the American dream. So that is why I’m so proud to introduce to you the next Vice President of the United States, my fellow lawyer, a brilliant scientist, technologist, a fierce warrior mom, Nicole Shanahan,” he said.

Shanahan, 38, is a native of Oakland who used to be married to Google co-founder Sergey Brin. As the president and founder of an organization invested in leftist issues such as criminal justice policy, abortion access and environmentalism, Shanahan is known for donating to Democrat politicians, per The New York Times.

Shanahan’s wealth would offer a massive push to his campaign. Her ties to major donors would also boost his fundraising efforts.

While Kennedy has said that wealth is not a factor he prioritizes in his consideration of potential running mates, Democratic National Committee spokesperson Matt Corridoni does not agree with his claims, as he believes money was a determining factor in the Independent presidential candidate’s choice.

“RFK Jr hasn’t been looking for someone who can step up to lead in a time of crisis, he’s been looking for someone who can infuse his campaign with cash as he tries to buy his way onto the ballot to be a spoiler for Donald Trump,” Corridoni told Fox News.
