Lara Trump: GOP Voters Interested In RNC Footing Trump’s Legal Bills

Former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump is confident that Republican voters would like for the Republican National Committee to foot her father-in-law’s legal bills.

On the campaign trail in North Carolina, a reporter asked Lara, who is looking to bag one of the top leadership positions at RNC, if she believed that Republicans would be in support of the idea of paying Trump’s legal fees in the criminal and civil cases he faces.

“Absolutely,” she responded.

“That’s why you’ve seen a GoFundMe get started … people are furious right now and they see the attacks against him. They feel like it’s an attack, not just on Donald Trump, but on this country … So I think that is a big interest to people. Absolutely,” she added.

Lara, who was endorsed by Trump for RNC co-chair, said earlier this month during an interview with Newsmax that she would work to direct RNC funds to Trump’s reelection efforts as he is billed to win the Republican Party’s presidential nomination.

“If I am elected to this position [RNC co-chair], I can assure you there will not be any more $70,000 or whatever exorbitant amount of money was spent on flowers. Every single penny will go to the number one and the only job of the RNC,” she promised, adding that “That is the goal over the next 9 1/2 months.”

When asked if any of RNC funds would be used to offset Trump’s legal fees, she was non-committal at first, saying, “I actually don’t know where they stand on that.”

She also pointed out that his legal fees have already been covered thanks to a GoFundMe page Trump supporters set up to back him up.

The Trump campaign has also said that none of the organization’s funds will be used to pay the GOP front runner’s legal bills, as a senior Trump adviser communicated to ABC News.

When Trump endorsed his daughter-in-law for the leadership position, he positioned her as someone who could step up to the plate as Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is reportedly stepping down soon.

“My very talented daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, has agreed to run as the RNC Co-Chair,” he stated, adding, “Lara is an extremely talented communicator and is dedicated to all that MAGA stands for. She has told me she wants to accept this challenge and would be GREAT!”
