Son Of Billionaire Financier George Soros Seen Fraternizing With Tim Walz

One of many behind-the-scenes machinations described in the leaked emails reveals that Alex Soros, son of billionaire financier George Soros and a leading organizer of left-wing causes, ran into Democratic vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz at his New York City apartment.

Soros recounted the meeting on social media, writing, “An honor to have hosted Governor Tim Walz at my home in NY!” in an X post on Tuesday.

With the 38-year-old now an influential political figure in his own right, just like dear old dad. He has given millions to Democratic political committees and left-wing causes, all with the aim of helping elect Democrats and promoting progressive policies.

Soros, like his father, has a long history of shoveling huge sums of cash into the campaigns of Democrats. He donated more than $5 million to federal political purposes since the 2018 elections. His biggest single $2 million donation of this time went to the Senate Majority PAC, a group aligned with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Soros’s social media is filled with photos of the key Democratic figures, chief among them Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He captioned a photo of himself alongside Vice President Kamala Harris with: “Great to recently catch up with Madame Vice President, [Kamala Harris]!” in a post from June 6.

Soros has been one of the largest donors to the Biden campaign in 2020, contributing more than $700,000 in funding to the pro-Biden super PAC known as Biden Victory Fund. He has also given sizable donations to the Nancy Pelosi Victory Fund, along with the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). These contributions make him a major donor in Democratic circles.

Even years earlier when the world came to know his father George Soros as a leading financier of liberal political causes, on Wednesday gave his son Alex a new distinction: Top Democratic donor of the campaign.

As Alex Soros becomes a more significant figure in political and philanthropic efforts, his financial power is growing. But it’s unknown what-if any-money he has chipped in to the Harris-Walz bid either.
