Kamala Harris Mocks Trump In Recent Call For Americans To Move Forward

Vice President Kamala Harris called on Americans to reject “failed policies” in a speech on the economy, but it soon became the subject of ridicule on social media.

Harris made the remarks at The Economic Club of Pittsburgh on Wednesday and said that America needs to move on from ways “we have proven don’t work.” “Simply put, we just need to get over them and their failed policies that have been proven not to work. To look at and to be inspired by what is possible.

In preparation for the election in November, Harris was already taking aim at former President Donald Trump, a man she referred to as “one of the biggest losers ever.” She was speaking as she struggles to erase the polling gap that exists between her and her rival on economic issues, tentatively identified by pollsters across America as Americans’ Number 1 issue in this election.

Harris also performed her personal background, telling of being raised in a “middle-class family” and vowing to strengthen that part of the economy. A few of the policy proposals she has rolled out in recent weeks include greater tax breaks for early-stage small firms, a $25,000 credit for first-time homebuyers and adjustments that would help boost domestic auto sales.

“When the middle class is strong. America is strong. And we can build a stronger middle class,” Harris said. “The American economy– is the most powerful force for innovation and wealth creation in human history. We just need to move past the failed policies that we have proven don’t work. And like generations before us, let us be inspired by what is possible,” Harris said.

Conservative commentators on social media reacted by sarcastically noting the irony in her call to move beyond ”failed policies” given her own role in the current administration.

“Acceptance is the first step,” Former 2020 Trump campaign advisor and Fox News contributor Steve Cortes joked.

“Who wants to tell her?” Redstate columnist Buzz Patterson quipped.

“Kamala Harris says we need to move past the failed policies that don’t work. She’s telling to to vote for Trump. Listen to her,” Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon wrote.

“You’re right,” Rep. Troy Nehls, R-Texas, also wrote in response. “The American people are sick and tired of the Harris-Biden Administration’s failed policies. November can’t come soon enough!”

Harris has used a series of speeches in recent weeks to focus on the economy, as well as addressing troubling inflation levels, as part of an overall drive to try and take back momentum from Trump on key issues.
