Chinese Spy Balloon Sent Intel Back to Beijing In Real Time

The Chinese spy balloon that traveled around U.S. airspace earlier in the year gathered intel and sent it to Beijing. The latest development confirms the fear that sensitive U.S. Military sites may have been compromised.

According to a report by the Daily Wire, three American officials revealed that the Chinese government controlled the spy balloon. China remotely controlled the balloon moving it over military sites and installations, sometimes in a figure-eight pattern. The report also added that the gathered data was transmitted back to Beijing in “real-time.”

Although the officials say the data obtained by China was electronic signals accessible from weapons systems or base communications, there seems to be more to worry about.

The State Department admitted that the Chinese spy balloon that traversed the United States for more than a week had more capabilities than publicized. The spy balloon that flew over vital national security sites was equipped with antennas capable of sending and receiving communications.
