President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw has raised concerns among the intelligence community, with National security experts closely watching the nation’s enemies like Russia and China.
With Vice Kamala Harris fighting to replace Biden as the Democratic Party’s nominee, concerns are growing that authoritarian leaders in Russia, China, and Iran may exploit the chaos to their advantage.
Rebekah Koffler, former DIA intelligence officer and author of “Putin’s Playbook,” told Fox News Digital that the Russians are monitoring the latest development.
“The Russians are watching very closely whether Kamala Harris will actually end up becoming the Democratic Party’s nominee now that President Biden has dropped out of the race,” Koffler said.
"It's not Joe Biden who is in control. It's not even Kamala Harris who is in control. It is the system that is in control, and they are switching out their candidate the same way that North Korea would put out election results."pic.twitter.com/kawWF8eycg

While previous reports suggest Russian President Vladimir Putin may favor former President Donald Trump, some security officials believe Moscow does not favor any candidate.
“Putin and the Kremlin have no preference as far as who would become U.S. president because U.S. policy has been consistent for the past 40 years, regardless [of whether] a Republican or Democrat occupied the White House,” Koffler said.
Koffler revealed that the Russian media is actively covering Harris’ candidacy, with many of them describing her as “incompetent, vapid and unintelligent.”

Heino Klinck, former deputy assistant secretary of defense for East Asia and military attaché to China, echoed Koffler’s sentiments. Klinck insisted that China may try to utilize the abrupt change to bolster its domestic anti-democratic arguments.
“Harris’ sudden quasi-coronation will only serve CCP talking points about the chaos of American democracy,” Klinck said. “Her lack of national security and defense experience will not engender confidence with our partners and allies.”

Behnam Ben Taleblu, Iran expert and a senior fellow with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, noted that Harris’ stand on nations like Iran remains unclear at this point. Taleblu, however, noted that Iran might try to take advantage of the situation.
“My concern is that while the swap at the top of the Democratic presidential ticket may have been done to placate domestic audiences, there are real questions pertaining to how the chaos looks and sounds abroad,” Taleblu said.
Taleblu insisted that Iran’s dangerous plan could intensify if the Biden administration appears chaotic and distracted.
