Zuckerberg Vs. Musk: Tech CEOs Ready For Cage Fight

In a bold challenge that sparked excitement among their followers, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and X CEO Elon Musk are really gearing up for a potential mixed martial arts showdown. Talk of a cage match between the two tech titans has taken center stage, with Zuckerberg expressing his readiness for the fight.

In a post on Threads, Zuckerberg wrote, “I’m ready today. I suggested Aug. 26 when [Musk] first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath.”

Musk, on the other hand, humorously shared that he incorporates weightlifting into his work routine, writing, “Am lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight. Don’t have time to work out, so I just bring them to work.”

The anticipation for this epic match has been amplified by Musk’s announcement that the event will be live-streamed on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. He also stated that all proceeds from the fight would go to charity for veterans.

However, Zuckerberg raised a question about the reliability of the platform in raising money for charity, suggesting that one of his platforms would do a better job.

“Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?” he wrote on the recently launched Twitter-like platform Threads.

Although no formal date has been set, the proposed location for the fight is the UFC Apex in Nevada. Both competitors have been diligently training, with Musk keeping his followers updated on his progress.

The 52-year-old Musk, known for his adventurous spirit, challenged the 39-year-old Zuckerberg, who is skilled in Brazilian combat sport jiujitsu, to a cage match earlier this year.

It began in June when Musk tweeted, “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options. At least, it will be ‘sane.’ Was worried there for a moment.”

A user had jokingly warned the Tesla boss to watch what he says, pointing out the Meta boss’ jiujitsu training.

Musk then responded, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.”

Zuckerberg then joined the conversation via Instagram by responding, “Send location.”

“Vegas Octagon,” Musk responded.

The two tech billionaires have not provided an exact date for the fight. Musk, however, hinted that he “may require surgery before the fight can happen.”
