On the final day of the Democratic National Convention, Vivek Ramaswamy took the gloves off, delivering a scathing critique of Vice President Kamala Harris’ record on illegal immigration. Speaking on behalf of the Trump campaign, Ramaswamy didn’t hold back, challenging Harris to apologize to the families of American citizens who have been victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens.

Ramaswamy specifically called out Harris, demanding that she “have a spine and to apologize to the family members of Laken Riley” and other Americans who’ve lost loved ones due to the Biden-Harris administration’s failed border policies.
As the Vice President prepared to give her acceptance speech, Ramaswamy threw down the gauntlet: “Even more importantly, tell the rest of us what policies you’re actually going to adopt to make sure something like that never happens again in this country.”
This sharp rebuke comes at a time when former President Donald Trump is set to visit the southern border in Arizona, a state where 66-year-old Ronald Lee Syrvud was arrested for threatening to kill him during his trip. The border crisis remains a hot-button issue, and Ramaswamy didn’t miss the opportunity to highlight the administration’s decision to end DNA testing at the border — an important tool used under Trump to ensure that children were not being trafficked by cartels or human smugglers.
“If you actually cared about reuniting families, you would at least genetically test, using the toolkit of modern science,” Ramaswamy argued.
“The truth of the matter, though, is that the cartels, many of whom are responsible for the human trafficking and child trafficking into the country, don’t want that reunification,” he added.
Ramaswamy went on to slam the Democrats for advancing policies that, in his view, align perfectly with the cartel business model. “Our own policy regime in this country, advanced by Democrats, favors exactly what the cartel business model calls for, which is allowing those children to be trafficked rather than reunited,” he told The Daily Wire.
As the Biden administration’s “Border Czar,” Harris has overseen 10 million border crossings, including an estimated 1.7 million illegal immigrant “got-aways.” Her record, Ramaswamy contends, is one of negligence and failure, pointing out that she has even suggested abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
