Amazon Prime Video is set to stream the first seven seasons of Donald Trump’s reality competition show “The Apprentice,” bringing the iconic series to a new generation of viewers.

The streaming platform launched Season 1, which first debuted in 2004, this Monday. Additional seasons will be released weekly through April 27.

“I look forward to watching this show myself — such great memories, and so much fun, but most importantly, it was a learning experience for all of us!” Trump, 78, commented in a statement.

The show was the brainchild of Mark Burnett, who collaborated with Trump as executive producer. Burnett, 64, recently accepted a position as Trump’s special envoy to the United Kingdom following the 2024 election.

The Apprentice is one of the best shows that I ever produced,” said Burnett. “The charismatic on-screen presence of President Donald J. Trump made it a bona fide hit! Now, thanks to Prime Video, a whole new audience will experience a new season every Monday.”

“This show is a love letter to New York City! ‘Survivor’ grew an entirely new massive audience as result of old seasons being binged during the pandemic. On Monday, March 10, this same phenomenon will begin again … with ‘The Apprentice,'” Burnett added.

The program’s format placed 16 contestants in competition through various business challenges, with the victor earning employment at a Trump organization and a $250,000 annual salary. Each episode culminated in Trump’s famous dismissal phrase “You’re fired!”

The inaugural season captured an impressive audience, with NBC reporting over 20 million weekly viewers.

Trump’s tenure as host spanned seven regular seasons and seven celebrity editions, crowning winners including Piers Morgan, Joan Rivers, Bret Michaels, John Rich, Arsenio Hall, Trace Adkins, and Leeza Gibbons.

Arnold Schwarzenegger took over hosting duties for the fifteenth season after Trump’s departure to pursue his presidential campaign in 2015.

The series, previously owned by MGM, transferred to Prime Video following an $8.5 billion acquisition in 2022. Burnett subsequently left MGM that same year, as reported by Deadline.

Amazon’s streaming service is also developing a documentary focusing on First Lady Melania Trump, with Brett Ratner directing. Production commenced in December 2024, shortly after the election.

The documentary, scheduled for release this year, promises “an unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look” at Melania, 54, according to a studio representative.

Notably, “The Apprentice” shares its title with Ali Abbasi’s 2024 film chronicling Trump’s New York real estate career, featuring Oscar-nominated performances by Sebastian Stan as Trump and Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn.
