Sen. Marsha Blackburn expressed her satisfaction with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s recent confirmation, which was secured through Vice President JD Vance’s tie-breaking vote following three Republican senators breaking ranks.

During her appearance on “Fox News @ Night,” Blackburn voiced criticism of Democratic opposition, suggesting they failed to acknowledge the message sent by voters in the November 5 presidential election.

When host Kevin Corke noted the lengthy confirmation process, comparing it to the Biden administration’s cabinet appointments that extended into March, he questioned whether the current timeline seemed excessive.

“Well, the Democrats are trying to obstruct. And you know, Kevin, it’s like they have learned nothing at all from the November elections, and they don’t realize their voters gave President Donald Trump a mandate to bring some transparency, some efficiency, to secure the border, to restore trust and the Department of Defense, to get rid of DEI, to get inflation under control,” Blackburn responded.

She concluded by emphasizing the importance of bipartisan cooperation in confirming nominees promptly, stating that swift action would benefit the American public.
