In a recent interview with Breitbart News Saturday, former Vice President Mike Pence expressed his concerns about the current state of the country under President Biden’s leadership.
Pence, who has been actively engaging with voters in Iowa as part of his 2024 presidential bid, emphasized the need for change and highlighted the overwhelming enthusiasm he has witnessed among Americans.
“We hit more than a dozen events in ten counties over the next four days. And I gotta tell you, the enthusiasm out there for change for turning this country around is greater than anything I’ve ever seen before,” he stated.
Proudly highlighting the achievements of the Trump-Pence administration under which he served as vice president, Pence wasted no time criticizing the state of the economy under Biden’s leadership. “Nobody’s buying Biden,” he declared.

Despite low unemployment figures, Pence pointed out that inflation has skyrocketed by over 16 percent since Biden stepped into the position of president.
“How many how many people literally stepped out of the workforce? And because of the welfare state policies of the Democrats in Washington, DC, people that have literally resisted, you know, some common sense work requirements for able-bodied men without dependents and things all along the way — these are all the things that are keeping people out of the workforce,” he explained.
The GOP presidential candidate went on to caution that the consequences of not electing a Republican president in 2024 would be dire, alluding to the potential repeal of the Trump-Pence tax cuts set for the end of 2025.
Without Republican control of the presidency, the House, and the Senate, he warned that Democrats would eagerly pile on more taxes, effectively undoing the progress achieved by the Trump administration.
Pence stressed the importance of honesty in discussing the country’s situation, particularly with young voters. He pointed out the alarming truth that the current national debt, which already equals the size of the nation’s economy, is projected to grow fivefold in the next 20 years.
“We’re literally going to add another … $150 trillion in debt in 25 years if we don’t bring some common sense, compassionate reforms to these entitlement programs for younger Americans,” he added.
In light of these challenges, Pence emphasized the need to communicate effectively with younger voters as he promised that his administration would put in place compassionate and common-sense reforms to safeguard the future of youth-beneficial programs.
