Speaking on “Fox & Friends First,” Fox News contributor Joe Concha weighed in Monday on Kamala Harris’ hesitation towards picking a vice presidential running mate.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ quest for a running mate is coming down to the wire, but Democrats seem bitterly divided over which way she ought to go.
Governor Josh Shapiro (D-PA) is seen as the heavy favorite for Harris. Along with Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) and U.S. Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona.
Most polls indicate a neck-and-neck race, with Trump holding only a minimal advantage. Currently Harris has already beaten President Biden’s polling position.
The campaign is poised to announce Harris’ running mate through an online message sent out to supporters. Biden’s campaign introduced Harris as his running mate exactly four years ago today in a text to supporters out on August 11, 2020.
Harris’ range of candidates suggests she knows that she requires a moderate to help her reach out more beyond the far left voting records of salt mines in America.
“I think she needs to pick someone who’s more moderate than her. I think she needs to pick someone that’s got more governing experience at the ground level,” former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said on ABC News’ “This Week.”
He added that she should pick Shapiro and said it’s not a “hard choice.”
Pennsylvania is one of the key swing states, so perhaps Shapiro would provide a built in edge for Election Day as well.
However, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) has hinted for Harris not to pick Shapiro. He is said to have complained that Shapiro cares too much about “his own personal ambitions.”
Over the years, during their interactions in Pennsylvania state politics, the duo had reportedly clashed on a variety of issues.
