Investigation reveals that Former President Donald Trump was targeted by gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks.
Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, aimed his gun at former President Trump during an outdoor rally in the city of Butler, just north of Pittsburgh. Fortunately, the round only grazed Trump’s ear. However, one spectator was killed by the shooter.
Sources said Crooks was planted on the roof of a manufacturing plant more than 130 yards away from the stage at Butler Farm Show grounds.
State voting records show that Crooks was a registered Republican. The Secret Service also killed Crooks, with an AR-style rifle found near his body.
The day Joe Biden was inaugurated, January 20, 2021,the shooter made a $15 donation to the liberal ActBlue political action committee as well, according to The Intercept. Crooks was 17 when he donated the contribution.
However, records show that he registered to vote as a Republican in September of that year, the month he turned 18.
Early Sunday the FBI officially confirmed the Post’s reporting, calling Crooks the “subject involved” in the attack on Trump.
