Democratic Senator Stands By Biden For the November 2024 Election

John Fetterman

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) said he is loyal to President Biden when it comes to the 2024 election on Jesse Watters’ Primetime.

Fetterman, who has already endorsed the president even after Biden’s universally panned debate performance last month, said during an interview: “I really don’t think I’ve seen anything that makes me want to change that,” he said. “I’m not following him blindly, but I do fundamentally believe he’s been a great president and I do believe ultimately he can prevail.”

Despite the internal calls for Biden to bow out of the 2024 contest, Fetterman has stood strong and said in a letter to House Democrats that Biden is “the best candidate” to defeat Trump this November.

Following last month’s CNN Presidential Debate, nine House Democrats and one Democratic senator have urged Biden to get out of the 2024 race.

Fetterman admitted to Watters he first only watched the Biden-Trump debate in bits and pieces but has said that Biden had a “bad night.” However, after spending a year with Biden at different events across Pennsylvania, Fetterman described him as “normal” and “engaged.”

“He was actually very popular, and people were eager to have a selfie and those kinds of thing[s]. So, I really want to remind everybody that Joe Biden has done a really good job as president, and I fundamentally am going to remain loyal to that,” Fetterman added.

“Joe Biden is going to be our guy, and it’s going to be rough, and it’s uncertain, but it’s going to be very close as well, too,” he told Watters.

“I refuse to turn our back on a great president and I know people watching this might disagree that he hasn’t been a great president, but I do believe he was. And I think loyalty is really one of the last… It’s one of the last currencies in this lousy business.”
