Travis and Jason Kelce shared differing views on wedding seasons during the latest episode of their “New Heights” podcast, sparked by a listener’s dilemma about his fiancée’s desire for a fall wedding during football season.

Travis expressed surprise at the concept of autumn nuptials, sharing that his social circle typically opts for summer ceremonies. The Kansas City Chiefs star suggested finding a weekend when no major games were scheduled, adding humorously that he’s attended weddings in various seasons, including February, but rarely in fall.

Offering advice to the concerned listener, the “Catching Kelce” alum said. “If you really do have a problem with that, maybe it’s in her best interest to not have it in the fall so that she knows you’re invested in the anniversary every time it comes around.”

Jason, however, took a markedly different stance, dismissing the conflict as insignificant. The former Philadelphia Eagles player, who exchanged vows with Kylie Kelce in April 2018, suggested a practical solution of recording any missed games.

“I don’t know what you want me to say,” the ESPN analyst added. “There are certain things that are more important than football, and if the wedding isn’t more important than football, we got some bigger issues here.”

Jason further emphasized the importance of prioritizing marriage over football, advising the listener to accommodate his future wife’s preferences. “There’s a lot more important things than football, and weddings happen to be one of them. And not arguing with your wife is high up there. … So I would just do the wedding whenever she wants to because that’s kinda your job now.”

Travis playfully countered with “Football is life,” and expressed concern about his friends having to choose between attending weddings and using their season tickets.
