Tucker Carlson: Biden is Arresting Political Opponents

Tucker Carlson, host of Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” broadcasted his show from Brazil and highlighted what the United States has become and how President Joe Biden is using the Department of Justice to overtake his political opponents.

Carlson discussed stories of people being arrested not for committing crimes, but for exercising their rights. The key point in these examples is that the people who were arrested are Republicans rather than Democrats.

Carlson said, “January 27, 2021, days after Joe Biden’s inauguration, the Justice Department arrests a man called Douglass Mackey, known online as Ricky Vaughn. You heard very little about this, why? Because Douglass Mackey had extremist political views. But under the American system, it doesn’t matter if you have unattractive or unpopular views, your views are protected by the First Amendment. He was arrested, for what, a crime? No. For creating internet memes that made fun of Hilary Clinton. But according to the Justice Department, those memes, ‘deprived individuals of their constitutional right to vote.’ So he went to jail.”

Mackey was charged with conspiring with others to deprive others of the right to vote by posting a meme that encouraged others to vote by text. It was obviously satire, but he was arrested anyway.

Carlson then told the story of Russell Taylor and Alan Hostetter, who were arrested on February 3, 2021. Their crime was organizing a political rally on January 6, 2021, that they received a permit to hold. Days before the rally, they were seen with Roger Stone, which also isn’t a crime.

Then there was Rudy Guiliani, who had his apartment raided by the FBI on April 28, 2021. Guiliani’s electronic communication devices were seized, but he was never charged in this underhanded tactic to take private information — maybe there’d be outrage if the political raid happened in the Watergate Hotel.

Carlson said, “That didn’t use to be allowed. You can’t seize the records of someone’s attorney. Those are confidential lawyer-client communications. Now, at the time, we are told that Rudy Giuliani had done something illegal in Ukraine. The walls were closing in. He was never charged with anything like that because it was all fake. But they got his privileged communications anyway.”

Carlson then went over journalists Owen Shroyer and Project Veritas.

Shroyer was arrested because on January 6, 2021, he told a crowd to march to the Capitol and tell Congress that the election was stolen.

Project Veritas journalists’ homes were raided on November 6, 2021, because they reported on a diary written by Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden. In the diary, it explained that Biden showered with her and she described it as inappropriate — which explains the desperate attempt to stop the diary’s release.

Steve Bannon was also arrested on November 15, 2021, because he didn’t comply with the January 6 Commission’s subpoena.
