Tom Fitton: ‘The Left Is Desperate’ To Undermine Confidence In Elections

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton believes that the left is ensuring that voters have no faith in the voting process going forward.

“The left is desperate to keep these rules in place that undermine confidence in the elections,” Fitton said on the “Just the News, No Noise” show Tuesday. “The left says they’re in favor of democracy. Then why are they messing with it by changing the rules in such a way that undermines the rule of law here?”

“Federal law means the elections have to take place on one day,” he continued. “You cast…the ballots and the ballots are received…by Election Day. And the idea that it just happens for weeks after Election Day, is the opposite of clean and honest elections.”

Fitton is not the only conservative expressing skepticism around the integrity of our elections. Fox News host Tucker Carlson similarly questioned the honesty of the American political process upon analyzing the Pennsylvania Senate race between Dr. Mehmet Oz and Lt. Governor John Fetterman, a move which angered a reporter at Newsweek.

“It’s not about the person,” he said on the October 26 episode of his show. “It’s about the party. It’s not about the individual. It’s about the group. And to prove it, they can even run mentally defective candidates who can barely speak, and not only expect them to win but expect you to accept the outcome no matter how transparently absurd it is.”

“On November 9, they will be telling you that John Fetterman got 81 million votes in Pennsylvania, and they’ll threaten to put you in jail if you don’t believe it,” Carlson continued. “Why wouldn’t they do that? It worked with Joe Biden.”

But not all hope is lost, according to Fitton. The Judicial Watch president suggested that he has seen some improvement in the political process after Elon Musk recently purchased Twitter.

“I’ve gotten 50,000 new followers since the announcement was made,” said Fitton. “I suspect for every leftist celebrity that leaves Twitter because there’s more freedom on the site, you’re going to have tens of thousands of Americans coming back to the site because Musk is promising a robust debate.”

Fitton has discussed the left undermining voter confidence in elections before; he has touched on numerous examples of such acts including the Zuckerberg-funded $80 million spent on “election infrastructure” in 2020.
