Biden said, “Not even during the Civil War did insurrectionists breach the Capital of the United States of America: the citadel of our democracy. Not even then. But on January 6, 2021, they did.”
During the Civil War, the south was defeated for many reasons. The January 6th Capital Riot was done by a couple of hundred rioters who were unarmed and upset. Though various conspiracy theories have circulated suggesting the Federal Bureau of Investigations was engaged in the event’s planning, this has yet to be verified.
If the people at the January 6 Capitol Riot wanted to overthrow the government, the least they could have done was bring guns. But, not one person had a gun. So, was it an overthrow of the government? Not even close.
Nobody entered the Capitol building during the Civil War because the Capitol wasn’t the target. The United States had already ruled that slavery was banned, and the Emancipation Proclamation was already in place. Republicans were against the southern slavery expansion into the west, and the south was adamant that they would expand. The central location of the Civil War wasn’t anywhere close to the Capitol.
There were thousands of locations during the Civil War. Across the country to include Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and even Pennsylvania. But the Democrats lost and therefore wasn’t able to continue slavery.
Nothing about January 6 represents a comparison to the Civil War, but Democrats still have to blame the Republicans for anything they can and amplify the effect it had on democracy. If the people in attendance on January 6 wanted to overtake the government, they could have planned and executed a genuine insurrection, but no planning took place. People followed others and emboldened themselves with ideas of entering the Capitol.
Candace Owens spoke to Fox News, saying, “This is really just more totalitarian talk from Joe Biden trying to criminalize half the nation for supporting Donald Trump who should be in office instead of him,” and she’s right. Biden wouldn’t have much to hold against the Republicans if January 6 wouldn’t have happened, and the majority of Republicans aren’t in agreement that January 6 should have turned out the way that it did.
Whatever Biden can do to distract from the election audits, the southern border, and the awful Covid-19 pandemic handling will keep Americans sucking the tit of the government out of fear and lead them back to the hand of Biden and Dr. Fauci. They love the fear and division they’ve created. They think they’ll be in power forever, but remember that the 2022 midterm elections are just around the corner, and pay attention to who will be on the ballot. A change has to happen, and it has to happen soon.
