Dr. Anthony Fauci has re-emerged and he’s no different than he was before. While everyone is following the science and realizing that it’s time for the world to move forward with normal life, Fauci is still pushing the Covid-19 vaccine like he’s a magazine salesman. To be fair, the world should have moved forward long before now.
Fauci told CNBC, “The answer is: We don’t know. I mean, that’s it.” Fauci added that “it is likely that we’re not done with this when it comes to vaccines.”
There would have to be a justified reason for anyone to get more Covid-19 vaccines. It’s been proven that the vaccines won’t stop transmission or infection in new variants, which is the entire point of a vaccine. As the CDC reported, “The risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection in fully vaccinated people cannot be completely eliminated as long as there is continued community transmission of the virus.”
There’s also the issue of full FDA approval. The FDA and Pfizer seem to be using a work-around for approval, and as the FDA says, “The vaccine also continues to be available under emergency use authorization (EUA).” If it’s fully approved by the FDA, it doesn’t have to be available under EUA. So, why is it? Because it’s not actually approved.
Fauci continued, “The problem here and throughout the world is that the memory of what happened fades very quickly. I would hope that this completely catastrophic experience that we’ve had over the last two-plus years will make it so that we don’t forget, and we do the kind of pandemic preparedness that is absolutely essential.”
What you may have heard is that Fauci wants to make sure we’re ready for the next pandemic, but it seems like he is saying is that he needs more speaking engagements and more attention.
The science hasn’t changed. Public disclosures have. The severity of Covid-19 has changed with each variant, which has led to a large-scale natural immunity with the Omicron variant.
The scientific data is showing that there is a pattern where nations with higher vaccination rates have suffered higher rates of infection. Doesn’t that make Fauci’s job unnecessary? It’s not surprising he’s pushing for more and more after being needed less and less.
