Event Warning Against Transgender Treatments On Minors Removed By Eventbrite

Eventbrite, the popular event managing and ticketing platform, has removed an event that was set to raise awareness about the concerns surrounding transgender treatments and surgeries on minors. The event, hosted by the Palmetto Family Council, featured a detransitioned teenager named Chloe Cole and was scheduled for Nov. 6.

Eventbrite cited a violation of their policy on “hateful, violent, and dangerous events” as the reason for deplatforming the event. In an email obtained by The Daily Wire, the company’s Trust and Safety team stated, “We have determined that your event is not permitted on the Eventbrite platform as it violates our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, specifically our policy on Hateful, Dangerous, or Violent Content and Events.”

The Palmetto Family Council organized the event with the intention of discussing the risks associated with transgenderism for minors. They aimed to foster a movement to prevent genital mutilation procedures and therapies on minors who are too young to provide informed consent, not just in South Carolina but across the country.

Expressing their stance, the Palmetto Family Council said, “Simply, Palmetto Family Council has been censored for taking a stand against the LGBTQ+ progressive agenda. Our staff is working diligently to find a solution to this unexpected situation.”

They went on to affirm their commitment to fighting against what they view as the “radical LGBTQ+ agenda,” censorship by big tech companies, and the preservation of Christian conservative values.

The personal journey of Cole, the transgender featured in the event, is at the heart of this controversy. Her irreversible medical gender transition began when she was only 13 years old, and at the age of 16, she started the process of detransitioning.

Currently engaged in a legal battle against the Kaiser Permanente healthcare system for her transgender treatment, she recently testified before Congress, passionately pleading with lawmakers to consider her story as a “final warning.”

In her congressional testimony, Cole emphasized that doctors can make mistakes, and she, along with countless detransitioners, has suffered the consequences of what she called “barbaric pseudoscience.” She urged lawmakers to take action to prevent more children from experiencing the same fate, stating, “Enough children have already been victimized by this barbaric pseudoscience; please let me be your final warning.”

Notably, this is not the first time that Chloe Cole has faced censorship. Earlier, she experienced censorship on Instagram. According to her, the visibility of her account and content is restricted to non-followers, which effectively limited her reach and visibility on the platform.

While the exact reason for the censorship remains unclear, it coincided with Cole captioning a photo of her bio, wherein she identifies herself as a detransitioner.

In her Instagram bio, Cole explicitly states that she is “female” with two X chromosomes and describes herself as a “former trans kid.” She also details her medical history, revealing that she started testosterone and puberty blockers at the age of 13, underwent a double mastectomy at 15, and eventually detransitioned at 16.
