Attorney General Just Put Targeted Concealed Carry Permit Holders

It’s been said that concealed carry permit holders are some of the most law-abiding people in the nation.

After all, in order for someone to receive a concealed carry permit, they have to go through various background checks, get fingerprinted, and be cleared by the state government.

Unfortunately, the pro-gun control left continues to demonize concealed carry. Democrats argue that allowing people to conceal carry poses a danger to public safety.

The left often conveniently ignores reports of covered concealed carry permit holders actually saving lives and preventing crimes.

However, California Attorney General Rob Bonta has taken the war against concealed carry several steps forward.

A Shocking Onslaught Against Concealed Carry Permit Holders
On Monday, the California Justice Department conveniently, yet temporarily, publicized the names and residences of each concealed carry permit holder in the state.

Ironically, this happened amid Bonta bragging about how “transparent” this data system is.

To make matters worse, the leaked names and residences of concealed carry holders included California judges. Given the state’s serious issues with crime, the release of judge’s home addresses poses a serious threat to their safety and the safety of their loved ones.

This leak isn’t something that’s just going to be forgotten or brushed to the side. The California Rifle and Pistol Association weighed in on the matter, warning what happened is illegal and consequences will follow.

Later, the California Rifle and Pistol Association confirmed its work with various law enforcement officials in the state to determine the extent of harm caused by this leak. The pro-gun organization likewise said that litigation against the California Justice Department is very probable.

Reaction From the California Justice Department
Following Monday’s leak, Bonta’s office released a statement, claiming an investigation is underway to get to the bottom of this leak.

The California attorney general’s office likewise claimed that unapproved releases of sensitive information are not OK. Finally, the people of California were informed that more details will be released as the investigation plays out.

Nevertheless, many Americans aren’t buying it. Amid the nationwide debates over guns, the Second Amendment, and concealed carry, conservatives are warning this leak happened intentionally.

At this time, it remains to be seen what (if any) litigation is brought forward as a result of this leak.
